A good ten minutes' birding from
the Dyfi Bends layby today - single great white egret with little egret
providing nice size comparison, ringtail hen harrier over saltmarsh, peregrine
on one of the large pieces of 'driftwood' on the saltmarsh, single green
sandpiper feeding at water's edge and five smart goosanders on the river. Oh,
and a woodpecker drumming (the parkland type area behind Glandyfi castle looks
good for lesser spotted). The only downside is the buddleia could do with
removing from the railway wall, as there are only two places where you can get
an unimpeded view now.
