Great Grey Shrike at Cross Inn Forest

The bird was on the right, about 150 yards before the T junction. Got the scope on it, then as I was getting my camera out it disappeared.  One more very brief view later, but it was elusive.
Otherwise, hardly a bird to be seen except for a roving flock of at least 30 Reed Buntings.

I had started off at Cors Caron.  At Pont Einon were 21 Lapwings, 12 Teal and a Little Egret.
Maesllyn held lots of wildfowl including 215 Wigeon, 15 Teal and seven Tufted Ducks. Fieldfares on the ground on the far side of the lake were partially hidden: they later flew up into nearby trees where I counted 58, with seven Redwings.
In the distance a male Hen Harrier high in the sky was being mobbed by a couple of corvids.
