Llanrhysted yesterday

After Edward left a flock of curlew ( c80) flew in to join the small roost of gulls in front of the caravans and as we drove off, away from the sunset, a male Merlin dropped off one of the laneside posts.  There were at least 5 Pied Wags flying around over the shingle that might have attracted its attention.
The cliff erosion either side of the limekilns is quite shocking especially as the high tides, without any storms, is enough to carry away the debris further exposing the soft clays.

I'll be interested to see if Edward gets a response to his ring sighting from Euring as I haven't heard back about a common and black headed gull rings I posted from France in 2014!
