Many thanks to Roy Bamford for the detailed description of where to find the
snipe. I went late afternoon today and counted a total of 17 feeding and
roosting, a very enjoyable sight. In the background a large flock of golden
plover kept going into the air and across the road from the snipe field I had a
flock of at least 30 field fare with a couple of redwing. I also would like to
mention that a green sandpiper has been frequenting a field east of the Ynys
Tachwedd (Aberystwyth Storage) track at least since the beginning of
December.
