Gulls galore

A short sea-watch near Ynyslas turn this morning produced another 1st winter glaucous gull moving north. Later at RSPB Ynys-hir it, or another first winter, was sitting on a sand bank in the middle of the estuary. Also there were 2 adults and a second winter Mediterranean gull.
Last Thursday (23rd) at the height of storm Doris there were three Bewick's swan resting on the salt marsh at RSPB Ynys-hir before battling south against the wind and an adult and a first winter little gull feeding with the black-headed gulls.
