New Quay head

A general report on NQ head area over the last couple of weeks. Auks have been present in large numbers in rafts but also on the ledges where they have been very vocal. A pair of Peregrines have been active on a daily basis. A great view today (Friday) of the two doing mock stoops on a raven. At the height of Doris I saw one of the peregrines in level flight with wings reefed in and in full control. I could hardly stand up.
The ravens seem to be in nesting mode collecting materials. Usual fulmars and chough about and on the water a single RTD.
