A late evening/dusk walk on
the board walk at the north end of Cors Fochno produced a single nightjar
churring sporadically. This was at the far north end of the bog, close to the
road and east of the footpath (same location as one of the birds last year).
Grasshopper and sedge warblers also singing well and a close cuckoo. Again, no
barn owl. Two whimbrel over Aberystwyth town at lunch time today. Nice to hear
whilst shopping!
