Sand Martins

This morning I checked the colony at Abercoed, which lies halfway between Tregaron and the other sizeable colony at Pant Pool. About 60 holes, most of which seemed to be active. At one point 50 birds were in the sky together. A little later at Long Wood I bumped into a bird id group on a course from Denmark Farm. They had seen a pair of Goshawks over the forest.
