Eider at Aberaeron

Lin Gander, whilst waiting for me on Aberaeron north seafront, found a female eider very close to shore feeding avidly.  I had the scope but not the right camera!  The bird is a female with the white eyespot of a juv.  No sign of the white borders to the speculum,  and  flanks patterned rather than barred.  As they don't mature for 3 years its probably one of those intermediate plumages not in the book!  Lin has a pic.
