Kestrel hunting over the Ystrad
Meurig end of Cors Caron at 10.30 this morning.
Also sedge warbler, G S Woodpecker, Blue, Great and Long-tailed
Tits, Swallow, Swift and House Martin, Crow, Jay and Magpie, Kite and
Buzzard, Robin, Blackbird, Song Thrush
and Woodpigeon.
Interestingly the Curlews were
calling around our House in Ffair Rhos as usual in March, April. Then not heard
until about ten days ago when suddenly
for about a week many calls every day, I think a succesful fledge as saw three
or four flying together a couple of
times. Almost certainly nested on or around Pen Y Bannau. Nice to know they
are still around but not as many as
when we moved here ten years ago.
