I was joined at the point by John and Jill for high tide this morning. The waders were very flighty, not helped by a prolonged and close range display from a Peregrine (which didn't manage a kill).
Nevertheless, a reasonable selection in the end, with three Knot, two Turnstones, two Sanderling and single Curlew Sandpiper and Little Stint picked out from the among the Dunlin and Ringed Plover. A Guillemot in the estuary was unusual.
We then had a look at the sea from the turn car park. John found two passing Teal but difficult to see anything on the choppy sea, just Common Scoter and the odd Red-throated Diver. Still a few Gannets well offshore.
