Cors Caron Great White Egret

Walking the dog on Cors Caron from Ystrad Meurig this morning (Sunday) I saw a GW Egret out by the river towards Cricklas.
Decided to get a closer look and walked over the small wooden bridge and along footpath towards the river.
I could see it was on my side of the river. As I got closer I was expecting it to fly but it didn't see the dog and didn't seem worried by me. I w as eventually only about 15 to 20 yards from it. No camera of course but we stood and looked at each other for a couple of minutes after which it took off and flew upstream a bit. Certainly my closest encounter with a GW.
Nothing much else, a low flying cormorant and a few snipe thanks to the dog, along with the usuals.
