Found myself in the north of the county today, lured there by the prospect of seeing a particular rare bird. Female black redstart on the Old College in Aberystwyth was a nice start, Ynyslas then came up trumps with a fly over snow bunting, the king/queen eider and a cattle egret, which had founds some cows in fields by the Leri boatyard. Ended up at Ynys-hir where I caught up with my target bird - Pochard!!
