RSPB Ynys-hir

Highlight of the day was an immature male pochard from the Ynys Feurig hide (an increasingly scarce duck in the county). Also 6 whooper swans (2 ad 4 juvs) touched down there briefly before heading off directly west again. At least ten water rails were heard on a walk around the reserve with a kestrel, peregrine and ringtail hen harrier good to see too.
