New Quay

I noticed the report of the single guillemot at New Quay. Interestingly the auks visit the ledges periodically in the early part of the year. The pics of the guillemots were taken on the 12th Jan when I was looking for the black redstart. One lot on the ledges by Carreg Draenog and the others under Banc y Rhowyn. They seem to stay for a short while and then disappear. The choughs are a group of four (3 ringed) that are around regularly.
There was a great crested grebe at Cei Bach  on the 14th. Kendall Evans spotted a group of 7 common scoter in the outer mooring area on the 12th.
