Three Egret Day

Like John and Jill, I paid homage to the King Eider and Cattle Egret this morning in the rain. There were two greenshank at the wader roost by the tern posts at first light, until a Merlin arrived.
I stayed at the Clettwr only long enough to see a male Hen Harrier (there were at least three there, and a female, yesterday morning; c200 Dunlin and 800+ Golden Plover were also spooked several times by a Buzzard, which may explain their absence in the afternoon), Kestrel, the Dipper, and five Red-legged Partridges.
From the Glandyfi layby, two Little Egrets were joined by the Great White Egret, making it a three egret day. Also there, one Common Sandpiper and two Green Sandpipers were on our side of the river, and two Goldeneye.
