This bitterly cold weather has attracted plenty of birds to my feeders this morning, but even so I was surprised to see a Fieldfare eating the dried fruit which I scattered on the ground to supplement the fat balls and sunflower hearts in the feeders.
Just about to post this when a Redwing joined the birds (mostly Blackbirds, Starlings and Chaffinches) on the ground.
