New arrivals on the Teifi

Today the tempo picked up with more variety and numbers. Not only the continuing arrival and passage of Golden Plovers and Lapwing but the harder more estuarine species. As the high tide dropped 3 Bar-tailed Godwits arrived at the Webley. By mid-morning Wendy found 6 Grey Plover and shortly after a flock of 11 Knot appeared. Dunlin numbers have now passed the 100 too.
The Water Pipit was actually in the outflow channel today feeding with some of the many Redwing and Blackbirds now on the shore with the odd Mistle Thrush !! A pair of Pintail on the sea enhanced an otherwise empty bay. Wigeon, Teal and Mallard have all increased but only 1 Goosander.
The waders and Pintail are species all mentioned as arrivals at other Pembs sites, and even some English inland sites today as they are forced west...
