While I was
topping my field in Aberaeron last night, 8th, I had corvids, buzzards, magpies
and kites sniffing round as usual, but a commotion from the Mistle Thrushes with
a nest on the river bank alerted me to the fact that one of the Buzzards was
flying off with a young Mistle Thrush in its talons. The brood had fledged at
the weekend but were still hanging about with the adults in attendance. Not
unusual - but interesting to witness.
