Cross Inn Forest

Yesterday; no shortage of warblers in full song as always at this time of year. Couldn't get my ears wrapped around a Grasshopper but I did hear a Wood Warbler. I've heard them before in the conifers near the entrance but these are now mostly felled or fallen. This individual was a little further in, along the line of the stream, halfway between the path and the road. 3 Cuckoos singing (same as Andy James April 21st). Also a Willow Tit singing at the T junction. Didn't have time to check the other side of the road around the bottling plant so maybe another Cuckoo or Willow Tit there too. Will return in due course.
