House sparrows lose nest

Something has destroyed the house sparrows' nest that they had taken over from house martins in our eaves (May 6th post). Or maybe it just collapsed.

Good to hear greenfinches in the deciduous wood in Cross Inn. Plus blackcaps, willow warblers and those monotonous chiffchaffs.
