Ynyslas this morning

A couple of highlights from another cold morning at Ynyslas. An Osprey in the mouth of the estuary was a nice patchwork challenge tick. A 1st-summer Mediterranean Gull flew south past the point.
Other notable birds included 100+ Sandwich Terns at the point and in the mouth of the estuary. These were viewed distantly from behind the Ringed Plover rope, so I struggled to pick out anything in amongst them. It's very nice to see undisturbed birds at Ynyslas, even if they are distant! 61 Whimbrel and 3 Grey Plover were also in the general area, as well as 2 Grasshopper Warblers and 2 Wheatears. Very little moving over the point again today, apart from a few Swallows, alba Wagtails,  Goldfinches, Rooks and Carrion Crows.
