Ynyslas

The warmer weather this afternoon produced a nice selection of migrants. 3 Whinchat and 4 Wheatears were feeding near the boatyard. There were also notable arrivals of Grasshopper Warblers, Whitethroats, Sedge Warblers and Willow Warblers. Considerably more hirundines were moving as well today with c.150 Swallows and c.20 Sand Martins moving through north from 11am-3pm and 6 Swifts were feeding overhead. 60 Dunlin, 50 Ringed Plover and 10 Sanderling were at the point at high tide, and 3 Whimbrel, 2 Common Sandpipers and 2 Grey Plovers were elsewhere.
