It was nice to meet up with Chris Bird yesterday afternoon at Ynyslas and reminisce
about various visits to the Highlands and Islands. I didn't manage to see a
rosy-coloured starling although after Chris left a small flock of waders
appeared which contained a turnstone and sanderling - both in summer plumage (as
well as c20 each of dunlin and ringed plover).
