Still getting over our wonderful 3 days and 3 nights on Skomer, Chris informed me of the Nanteos Herons (see 17th June post) and suggested I might try to get a photo.
At last the weather today looked good and so early evening I went up there and got these shots, just for the record, through the telescope with my trusty little Panasonic Lumix.
The 3 young looked as if fledging is not far off. When the adults came to feed them there was the usual racket and at one time some dreadful screams and screeches as if the young were murdering each other.
