A group of 9 or 10 Crossbills overhead yesterday, up from the 5 that
have
been evident for a few weeks. Bullfinches (pair) are coming to
the
sunflower feeder which is unusual, also the first year we have had
summer
Goldfinches at the feeder. Good numbers of Siskins too (10+)
and
Chaffinches.
Last week a single Lapwing overhead calling and heading
purposefully
South. First record here, outside of extreme winter
weather.
