Following on from Jon's post below, yesterday there were several rafts of Manx Shearwaters off Aberystwyth and quite a good passage of birds heading north: must have been over 1000 during the time I was there from 8:00 to 8:40.
Hoping to find some large feeding flocks in that direction I drove to Borth to find..............nothing.
Literally not a bird offshore apart from a few Herring Gulls. Not the first time this has happened and left me baffled.
