Coastal birding

Paul Bennett and I started at Castle Point this morning, enjoying a strong passage of Manx Shearwaters and good numbers of Gannets.  A Goosander was less predictable.
On to Borth for more of the same then an adult Common Gull was the only bird of note at Ynyslas.
Back at Aberystwyth the tide was in: just a Common Sandpiper and two adult Med Gulls on College Rocks.
We finished with a walk along Tanybwlch Bay. At the far end were around 40 Black-headed (inc at least five juvs), two Common and two Med Gulls, six Common Sandpipers, two Redshank and two Ringed Plovers
