Elaine Izett has been organising the monthly field trips since taking over from Bob Relph in August 2011 and has told me that she will be relinquishing the role from this coming December.
It's been a long stint and I'm sure that everyone who has been on any of the monthly walks will join me in thanking Elaine for all her efforts.
Not only has Elaine persuaded and cajoled people into leading the walks but I think I'm right in saying that she and her husband Ian have turned out for almost all of them, in all weather and conditions.
So once again, many thanks Elaine for all your efforts.
