Winter visitors and Great White Egret

A visit to Cors Caron this morning and on the short walk from the car park to Maesllyn the old railway track was teeming with birds.  Redwings predominated, with good numbers of Blackbirds, Goldfinches and Redpolls in addition to the usual tits and Chaffinches, among which were several Bramblings.
Impossible to do even rough counts as the birds were so flighty.
The taller trees at Maesllyn held at least 20 Fieldfares, but only 14 Wigeon and five Teal on the lake.
Best of all was a Great White Egret which flew south over the water at about rooftop height.
Back at the car park a flock of ca170 thrushes flew over, the majority Redwings, followed by several other smaller flocks.
Spot the odd one out . A distant shot in dull light.

Mute Swans with three young at the north end of the bog.
