Not a single bird to be seen on the shingle just below the length of the cliff-top path except for 3 Turnstones and a Redshank. As for the stubble fields, one small bird showed itself for a fraction of a moment. No birds called at all.

However, I did meet John and Rose Woodruff who mentioned that yesterday they had seen a pair of Gadwall from the Marion Mawr hide at Ynys-hir, surprisingly scarce in Ceredigion.
Anyway, I did get reasonable views of a Merlin and a Kestrel, so I will not give up yet.
