Ynys Feurig hide at high tide.
More superb birding on the main flooded area in front of the
hide. Highlights: 650 teal, 9 shoveler, 550 dunlin, 460 lapwing,220 redshank,
190 curlew, 7 black tailed godwit, 1 spotted redshank, 2 snipe. 76 pintail on
the river. All the birds put up initially by 2 red kites, then by a female marsh
harrier (Russell Jones was also there to enjoy the spectacle). 60 golden plover
and approx. 200 more lapwing , and a distant kestrel and 2 red kites on the
grazing marsh.
