We weren't successful with the King Eider on the Dyfi yesterday, but did see a
good variety of species, as follows
Dunlin, ringed plover, sanderling, a couple of turnstone, a single
greenshank, curlew, and oystercatcher, plus pintail, shelduck, wigeon, little
egret, red breasted merganser and the single pale-bellied Brent. Along the
track: meadow pipit, reed bunting, stonechat and starling, and a single chough
flew over.
