Ynys Feurig hide this morning

A superb hour at Ynys-hir. On the flood below the hide 5 black-tailed godwits, 32 redshank, 4 curlew and 4 prs of lapwing. Teal still present in reasonable numbers (44 with another 8 at Ynys Edwin), 2 pintail, 8 mallard and 14 wigeon. 3 black swans were a bizarre addition to the spectacle. 18 sand martins and a singing Cettis warbler were very nice. On the walk to and from the hide a calling male yellowhammer on the edge of the bog and a redpoll.
