Common crane and great egret

Whilst working at Lodge Farm (part of RSPB Ynys-hir) this afternoon at 1445 hrs the common crane flew over me flying from the direction of Ynyslas. Lo and behold by 1500 hrs it was back on the pools in front of Ynys Feurig hide and showing very nicely (apologies and bad luck to those hoping to see it this morning). I presume it has found some good feeding somewhere near Ynyslas. The great egret is still on the pools near the reserve car-park.
