Not having visited Ynyslas for a good while, I wasn't sure what to expect this afternoon. To my surprise there were birds everywhere! Male Redstart, 25 Wheatears, 1 Grasshopper Warbler, 1 Blackcap, 17 Willow Warblers, 6 White Wagtails, a flock of 9 Common Sandpipers along the Leri, 2 Gadwall on Glandwr, a Kestrel and around 80 Linnets.
Offshore there were 50+ Arctic Terns, 64 Commic Terns (largely Arctics but there were definitely a few Commons in amongst), 10 Manx Shearwaters, 7 Red-throated Divers, c.200 Common Scoter, 2 Velvet Scoter, 2 Great Crested Grebes, a Bonxie flew north as did 5 Sandwich Terns and 2 Red-breasted Mergansers.
