Penderi cliffs

Migrants coming through thick and fast now!

A few sightings from an evening visit to Penderi Cliffs (south of Aberystwyth) with Jerry Moore yesterday: Short-eared Owl hunting along the scrubby clifftops, five Grasshopper Warblers in song, plus 15 Willow Warblers and 10 Chiffchaffs. A good passage of hirundines overhead with several flocks heading northward, perhaps 60 Swallows and 50 Sand Martins.
