Ynys Feurig

The water levels on the fields below the Ynys Feurig hide at RSPB Ynys-hir have been dropped (as we do annually at this time of year) to enable us to cut the rush with tractor-mounted machinery. This is to ensure that the Greenland white-fronted geese will continue to use this area as a winter roost and that at high-tide waders too will continue to roost here. Once we have cut all the rush, the water-levels will be raised again.
