I was briefly at Ynyslas and area yesterday afternoon (Tues 6th). Thousands of
shearwaters moving north - almost on the beach in the strong westerly wind!
Hundreds of gull spp, terns and small waders in the estuary. Also on the fringes
of the salt marsh was a group of about a dozen waders which weren't dunlin or
ringed plover. Possibly golden plover plus at least one knot in summer plumage.
Didn't have good enough optics with me to make a definite ID.
