I watched the stormy sea beyond the harbour on and off throughout the day. However it was very early in the morning, when visability was not too bad and, as usual, more birds could be seen, that I had a good, if brief view of a Balearic Shearwater, contrasting nicely with a couple of nearby Manx Shearwaters.
Chris had a couple more white colour-ringed Mediterranean Gull on College rocks yesterday evening. Both were ringed as chicks near Antwerp (clearly a favoured birth-place for Meds. visiting the Ceredigion coast.)
3NF9 was ringed in May 2011 and next seen back near Antwerp in May this year, followed by Chris' sighting.
3975 was ringed last year in June. This year it was at the Nevern estuary in Pembs. in February, seen by Arfon at Llanon in April and next seen by Chris.
