25 CHOUGH

This morning Jill and I enjoyed the extraordinary sight and sound of 25 Chough on a meadow at the edge of Pen Dinas, Aberystwyth.
Looking back at 40 years of Ceredigion Bird Reports there seem to be just 4 instances of larger flocks, plus some big roost gatherings which can include birds from outside the County.
This shot shows most of today's birds plus the odd Rook and Jackdaw.
The day had started with our first for this year, very belated sighting of a Razorbill. Seen from the lounge it was close inshore by Castle Point Rocks.
