Another walk this morning and I found what may be a colony of stock doves. Three
birds together on farm buildings near Salem and others in flight.
AND I believe I heard a lesser spotted woodpecker. It was drumming for at
least twenty minutes from the top branches/twigs of some oak trees not far from
here. Unfortunately, although it was moving around I couldn't see it and it
didn't call.
