Around and about

My "exercise" yesterday morning took me on my electric bike to the disused reservoir apparently known as Llyn Mynydd Gorddu near Bontgoch. On it were two pairs of little grebe, a female tuftie, eight wigeon, and various moorhens (with one using a nest platform). A sparrowhawk flew low over the lake at one point. There was a pair of stonechat on the Bontgoch road nearby. On the pond/reservoir closer to Penrhyncoch were herring and lesser blackback gulls and a pair of tufties. There was a scattering of chiffchaffs around the area and countless buzzards and red kites.
