At Bird’s Rock yesterday the kittiwakes were very active around
and on the two main breeding ledges. There were 3 male wheatear and several
stonechat. There was a lot of chough activity with a group of 6 flying and
displaying. I came across a pair on the ground one ringed. This bird has been
previously identified for me by Adrianne when I saw it a few weeks ago. It is an
old nesting female 14 years old ringed by Tony Cross at Cilan Head
Caernarfonshire. I’m not sure if the pair are part of the larger group.
