An early morning visit today, and it worked. The ring-necked duck was close
to the dam near the car park with a pair of tufties and was surprisingly
reluctant to swim away. Also on the lake were a pair of canadas and various
mallards. Below the dam in the scrub was a stonechat.
On Blaenmelindwr there were 6 tufties, various mallard and a pair of
canadas. Also, unusually, a cormorant.
