Trawsgoed

Despite the breezy weather I thought I'd make a start on one of the tetrads I've been given by the RSPB on the national Willow Tit survey. No luck at Black Covert but quite wet and willowy under all those conifers. I would be interested to hear if anyone has seen Willow Tits here in the past. Nearby, I walked around Coed Alltbedw for the first time. The southern edge, along Nant Freuo, seems to have been cleared of its conifers some time back and is now regenerating naturally. The Willow Tit playback lured out a Marsh Tit which called and sang. Also here; Woodcock, a pair of Sparrowhawks and another Crossbill.
