Denmark Farm

Willow Tits used to be regular here throughout the year but it has been a couple of years since I saw any. And none today. I also checked the stream down the road but it was hardly worth it. The fields between DF and the stream have been subjected to intensification, are shiny green, and largely lifeless. The farm pond in the valley was drained and filled in. The thin line of scrubby trees along the stream are in the process of being grubbed out. Denmark Farm remains a wonderfully rich site but is now marooned and isolated. A gloomy day.
