New Quay

A willow warbler singing at Cwmhalen, New Quay yesterday ( Kendall Evans ).  From my house on New Quay head there were some house martins in the distance over the village. Yesterday there was a sedge warbler at Ty Rhos pond. That was the first one I’ve seen there. A peregrine passed over the house and a group of 4 chough.
There have been small groups of wheatear passing through including Greenland types. Where I can get views of the sea I have seen large numbers of gulls and auks and a few gannets in dense feeding groups. The presence of dolphins nearby suggests plenty of feed.
