New Quay

Yesterday evening the local male kestrel dropped into my back garden and took a prey item and flew back towards the cliff. I couldn’t make out the prey. I was eating supper at the time.
Earlier in the day I was checking up on my mother in the village. There was a group of sandwich terns working close inshore and a couple of gannets passing further out.
A few days ago a friend  had wheatears on his lawn at Maen y Groes which is a mile up the road. Whitethroats have started appearing.
