Patch

A walk yesterday at Patch just before low tide produced a whimbrel, wheatears on the boulders below the movable homes (now all closed, of course) and a pair of linnets. The most striking sight was a great black backed gull capturing a large flat fish, carrying it flapping desperately to a sandbank and stabbing it repeatedly to death. It then showed no particular desire to eat it!
